WORMS / ENDLESS SCREWS TESTERS

   Our worms/endless screws testers


       Our worm testers use a standard gear tester basis, on which is installed a worm support.
       They are motorized testers controlled by PC.


                                         

         They allow :

  • the measurement of F"i
  • the detection of shocks
  • The acoustic noise prediction : Some calculation extrapolated from the measurement graph can also be used to predict if some acoust noise will be generated by the worm  in its final use.


Measurement of the worm/screw

 The master is generally the wheel use in the wheel/screw system. The screw is driven in     rotation  (the angle of rotation is measured continuously with a rotary encoder). The           displacements of the    mobile carriage are measured and recorded, as in the measurement     of a couple of gears. The  measured data are computed, to calcul the values given as the       results of measurement (F"i,  shocks, estimation of acoustic noise, conformity or not of the     measured worm/screw)
